Exploit Engineer Wanted: Get Paid for Open Source
After the incredible success of the Metasploit Express and Metasploit Pro product launches last year, we are happy to announce a new position on the Rapid7 Metasploit team. Effective immediately, we are seeking a self-driven Exploit Engineer to join the team of full-time Metasploit developers.

Job duties include researching vulnerabilities and writing exploit code in the form of Metasploit modules (Ruby). Exploit modules will be released to the public under the BSD open source license.

5+ Years experience as a sysadmin.

Mission critical experience in mid to large size LAMP hosting environment.

Minimum 6 months experience with Amazon EC2 or similar cloud technologies.

Experience with shared and/or distributed file systems (Preferably OpenAFS)

Expert level knowledge of Apache troubleshooting and configuration, mod_security, mod php, and mod rewrite.

Expert level knowledge of MySQL configuration, backups, failover and replication.

The role of the Systems Engineer is a hybrid technical role in developing, integrating, managing and maintaining infrastructure resources. The Global Support Engineer (GSE) is part of a highly-focused 24/7 support/system administration team with responsibility for managing our client’s mission critical application environments. The GSE team is responsible for day-to-day proactive administration and operational support for the server and application environments with the objective of 100% business availability. The GSE team designs and implements best practices methodologies for change management and ongoing operations, and designs and implements proactive monitoring, problem resolution, and corrective action procedures.
